(Seaham, at Wellness Works Community Hub CIC, Tempest Road, SR7 7AY)
You’re welcome to choose the format that feels most comfortable — in person, online, or through text‑based therapy.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply unsure where to begin, you don’t need to have the right words. You just need somewhere safe to land.
I offer a warm, calm and accepting space where you can explore what’s happening for you at your own pace — whether that’s through email, SMS, video counselling, or in‑person sessions.
I support adults who want a gentle, steady space to explore what’s going on for them. This includes:
Neurodivergent adults (autistic, ADHD, PDA, AuDHD)
People who prefer written communication
Reflective thinkers who need time to process
Adults who feel overwhelmed in fast‑paced conversations
Anyone seeking a calm, accepting therapeutic relationship
People navigating anxiety, low self‑esteem, relationships, loss, change or emotional overwhelm
People who self-harm and/or have started thinking about suicide
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. You just need somewhere you can be yourself.
Many people find it easier to express themselves in writing, especially if they’re neurodivergent, anxious, or prefer time to think before replying.
Text‑based counselling can give you the space to reflect, pause, and respond without pressure. It’s a gentle, thoughtful way of working that supports clarity, emotional regulation and deeper understanding.
Life can feel heavy at times — whether you’re navigating relationships, loss, change, anxiety, low self‑esteem, or simply a sense that things aren’t quite right.
You don’t have to work through it alone. I offer counselling that is steady, compassionate and centred around you. There’s no judgement and no expectation that you need to arrive with everything worked out.
I’m based in Seaham and support clients across County Durham, including Peterlee, Sunderland and surrounding areas.
Sessions can be online or text‑based, so you can access counselling from wherever feels most comfortable and safe for you.
I also provide face‑to‑face counselling in person from Wellness Works Community Hub CIC, Tempest Road, Seaham, SR7 7AY.
My role is to listen, to understand, and to walk alongside you as you make sense of what you’re experiencing.
Together, we can explore what matters most to you and find a way forward that feels gentle, manageable and true to who you are.
If you're wondering whether counselling might be right for you, you're welcome to get in touch. There's no pressure and no expectation that you need to know exactly what you need before we talk.
This is the counselling room available at Wellness Works. It is directly next to the entrance of the building so there is no need to enter the cafe space or to see other people.
If you need to speak to someone urgently, the Samaritans are available for free 24/7 on 116 123.
